Martina Brunetta
- Plankton Analyst and Silk Preparer
Martina works as a Plankton Analyst and Silk Preparation Technician. As Silk Technician, it is her responsibility to supply CPR filter and cover silks ready for distribution to our fleet of volunteer ships or ready for export to our sister surveys, ensuring that production complies with CPR quality standards.
As Plankton Analyst, Martina is currently developing her taxonomic skills in identifying phytoplankton and zooplankton from North Atlantic samples.
Martina holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Venice and MSc in Natural Resources from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she worked as Grant Assistant at the Department of Natural Resources-Water Center.
Martina enjoys interacting with people, especially with children, and welcomes any opportunity to be involved in science outreach activities.
